    Question Gateway touts 64-bit PC's

    .. meaning they don't yet have mature enough drivers for 64 bit windoze, not that there aren't drivers, there are, just for 32 bit windows.

    Other manufacturers are saying 'similar' at the moment .. there might be 64 bit kit around (which we will sell you as we make more money on that ), but it works with windoze 32 bit, which we understand & can support, & once we are losing lots of sales, because 64 bit windows is required, we'll change our position .. 'they' would never say that, but that's about it !

    Quite a few hardware vendors have started or already have proper working drivers for download, its just taking some longer than others.

    Going to be much the same as the move from 16 bit to 32 bit
    AMD has a list of partners that have 64 bit drivers
