DHCP server install issue

Is it this ? - Error 0x8007000d Occurs During Initialization - maybe ?

& when I think about it, I had several 'very strange happenings' when trying similar myself the other day - then I repeated what I thought I had done & it worked - the 'difference' turned out to be the updated Microsoft installer package (they just re-issued that, due to some 'cock up') - now the error you have 'looks' like an install shield error ? So maybe .. ?

- but have you definately got the latest & greatest M$ installer ? 3.1 (v2) ? its a very new update, in the last week or so, there's all that stuff about 'flyweight patching' & previous versions doing this

..In Windows Installer 3.0 and earlier versions, if you applied several major upgrade patches, subsequent installations occasionally failed...

Which has previously driven me nutz !
