    Angry Word & XL hangs... MORE

    Lets try again. Today I discovered that while word tries to shut down, a temporary file with the same name as the original exept that the 1st or so letter is replaced with ~$ appears in my save folder. I tried a friends machine and this did not happen. At the same instant as the freeze is timed out this file vanishes. What the f..k is going on while this takes place?

    ~s.. file is a temporary file. This is sort of a lock. So when closing the program this file is removed.
