    Eminem To Quit

You know for a rapper, which I can't stand the music genre personally, it hurts my delicate ears, he was pretty good, he broke into a previously color and race based phenomena and not only kept it real but took it further, he expressed himself and at times had something important to say, whether people liked what he had to say or not.

He has done so much for changing music styles and pre conceived ideas in these times and I will actually miss his music.

Rap superstar Eminem plans to make the last solo performance of his career in Ireland in September, the Detroit Free Press, his home-town newspaper, reports.

Citing sources close to the 33-year-old rapper, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, the daily said his current album, Encore, would probably be his last as he moves to full-time work as a record producer.

Eminem's final solo appearance would be at a concert in Dublin on September 17, the Free Press said.

The newspaper quoted Eminem's manager, Paul Rosenberg, as saying no official decision had been made about the future of the Grammy and Oscar-winning artist who is the best-selling hip-hop artist ever.

But Mr Rosenberg said Eminem's current multi-platinum album was "certainly the cap on this part of his career".

Eminem's spokesman at Interscope Records in Los Angeles could not immediately be reached for comment.

The Free Press said the rapper, who has sold more than $1 billion worth of records, has grown weary of the media spotlight and may be musically spent.

The cover shot on Encore shows Mathers taking a bow and its closing song is entitled 'Curtains Down'.

In the album's liner notes and on his current concert tour, Mathers has also played up the figurative death of Eminem.

"This is how you go out with a bang, baby," Mathers says in one video, after pulling the trigger of a pistol that misfires on himself.

on a tangent subject a recent study was contucated to determin if pop/rock/rap had any impact on teen behaviours such as violence, crime, and suicide.

the results indicate that the music has not disernable effect on behaviour, however the nagging recived from others regarding musical preference does have the effect of increasing violent tendancys etc.

so manson wont hurt the kids, overly sensitive seniors and protective parents will.

one music type was found to incluence the behaviour on one demographic, in white males aged 25-40 violence, and sucided showed positive impact (increased) in thoses who listened to country music, likly due to the subject matter.

moral of the story is we should be banning jonny cash and garth brooks, not manson, NIN, or metalica.
