Recovering Files...Help!
Hi.
I was erasing a bunch of stuff off of my computer last week, and I believe I deleted a folder with about 300 songs....After I finished "cleaning up" my computer I automatically erased my recycle bin without looking at what I've deleted... Any way to retrieve these songs??
Thanks

Welcome to the forums prrykat
You erased your recycle bin? Or did you just empty it?

well, there are recovery software packages out there, I dont know any free ones, but a quick trip to download.com would probably give you some to try.
Remember one thing, they might advertise alot more than they can actually do, and if you dont know what you are doing, can mess up more than fix, so tread carefully with recovery software.

Read carefully before using

PC Inspector is decent and free, but my tool of choice is still GetDataBack http://www.runtime.org/

Restore?
I'd might try going back to a previous Restore Point if possible. Otherwise System Mechanic 4 has some OK recovery features. Nothing to right home about, but has helpted me once or twice.

Getdataback is very well worth the money and a favourite of mine, but also you could try RStudio at http://www.r-studio.com/
Ive had good success in the past. Both allow you to download a free demo that identifies what files could be rescued.
