2 Notebooks on Wireless
I've got a client with a wirless router and 2 notebooks with wireless connections. They rarely work at the same time, but if one is turned off the other one can usually stay connected. We've tried different channels but there doesn't seem to be much difference. Any Ideas

Some more info would help. What model router/clients? What distances are we talking about, any interferance? Do they have the latest drivers, what os, service pack? Are you using any security (WEP), Are you using the Windows wifi utility or the WiFi manufacturers (e.g. Broadcom/Intel) utility?

Router is an SMC Wireless G. Notebooks are both using Windows XP SP2 and using the Windows Wireless Configuration. Encryption is WPA. IP Addresses are fixed.

Have you tried with WPA off, and using the device manufacturers utility rather than Windows Wireless Config?
How about latest drivers?
