program to switch outgoing mail server settings
does anyone know of a good program that will switch the outgoing mail server settings with just a mouse click or something like that?
with all the port 25 blocking going on now my work people have to change the setting when in the office and then change it when they work from home and that seems to be just a tad bit over the limit of their technical ability, even though it seems simple enough.
i am thinking there has to be a free program out there like that...or a script or something.....

Not knowing which program you are using for email, you could create (2) accounts using the different smtp for each setting. Name one account office the other home. Then when they send email out pick the appropriate account of the location where they are at.

That's just what I did for some users at a client the other day. They seemed to be happy with it but I am prepared for the confusion to set in over the next couple of days.
Doesn't Netswitcher let you do this?

Net Switcher only works for different tcp/ip addresses. This allows you to connect to more than (1) network locations without re-doing the tcp/ip. Will not work on email.

You sure about that? I just d/loaded it and installed and as far as I can see you can set up different profiles with email accounts and settings defined.
Worth a look anyway.

its outlook 2003. the dual mail account system probably won't work as that will cause confusion and they need to have all the e-mail in one place.
i'll check netswitcher....
