Dsl modems
I'm thinking about getting adsl my future provider is selling the Alcatel Speedtouch home external ethernet modem, but I want a modem thats compatible with other service providers to (Verizon,earthlink etc) any suggestions?

Well, you just have to look at this on an ISP by ISP basis. You should be able to go to an ISP's site and get a list of compatible hardware, or call their sales department for the info. Sorry, one size won't fit all. Even worse, some NICS won't work with some ISP's software. For instance, SBC's DSL software works with 3Com, Realtek, Via, and other NICS, but not with SIS integrated NICs.

hehehe nothing works with stinking SIS Nics
I aint seen one yet that works reliably.
