Apollo P-2500 printer drivers help needed
A client of mine has an Apollo P-2500 printer connected through USB, and his pc is running Win98Se. When he tried to print, he received an error message stating that the printer could not be found. He tried to uninstall then reinstall the drivers with the cd, but it won't allow him to do so and states that the drivers are already installed.
My question is: How do I uninstall the drivers, when it won't allow me?

Look in the folder of Windows\inf and it's sub folders

Many usb printer drivers show up in add/remove programs in control panel, I would suggest you have a look in there first and uninstall them from there IN SAFE MODE (press f8 at start up a few times).
Secondly you can remove from device manager (again in SAFE MODE) your usb controller and hub and reboot and redetect when finished.
Many usb items need the drivers in stalled before the usb unit is plugged in, is it one of those? Was the installation completed in the correct order?
Finally check in bios that an irq for USB has been assigned, if it hasn't that can cause errors too.
You might also want to check that there are <a href="http://www.ap-sure.com/myapollo/support/P2500/2500_download_00main.htm#driver_from_internet" target="_blank">updated drivers</a> available.
<a href="http://www.ap-sure.com/myapollo/support/P2500/supp_2500.htm" target="_blank">This link is the main information and download page</a> for your printer, and while I couldn't find your specific problem there is the facility to email them with your problem and they state they will answer within 24 hours.
Good luck!
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

I already have sent email to Apollo, and I'll try all of the suggestions that I've found here.
For some reason, large companies don't like to respond to technical questions or take forever to do so.

Apollo P-2500
Hello
I hope that you have fixed your problem the Apollo but for future reference Apollo P-2500 only works with 98 and XP. I have one and found out the hard way. I also found out that HP claims they know nothing about Apollo P-2500 even though it has powered by HP on it. My Apollo has lost it's color head and they can't tell me where to get one from. Hp emailed me that they never heard of Apollo P-2500.
If you want to keep and use your printer switch OS to XP.
