All this is, is a clever way to extend a usb signal... the printer will still be a local printer attached to the usb port... http://www.networktechinc.com/usbc5.html

    Dear NooNoo,
Thank you for help i have 1 desktop that connected to wireless router by a wire and 2 laptop connected wieless to the router , and i have HP PSC 2410 connected to the desktop by a usb cabel , i can not print my document wirelessly if the desktop is shutdown so that it mean i need to turn on the desktop to print my paper or remove the cabel from the desktop and plug it to the laptop every time i need to print.
So what i need is to print the paper even if the desktop is shutdown and without remove the cabel everytime and without buying a print server

A print server is EXACTLY what you need, but they come in all shapes and sizes, including usb ones run from bluetooth or wired or wireless. All it means is that the printer is viewable from the network by having an ip address - just as your wireless and wired pcs do.

Having looked at the prices... I imagine this is why you don't want to buy a wireless print server...

How hard did you look ? .. I can sell you (well google can) a 3-port wireless print server for about £115 or less Like so or wired versions for much less, not much more I'd have thought than the total cost of that great big wire & 'gender benders', I got so confus-ed about earlier !!
