Cum Laude is with honors
Magna Cum Laude is with great honors
Summa Cum Laude is with highest honors
The threshhold varies slightly from college to college but in general a well-above-average student will get Cum Laude, an excellent student will get Magna Cum Laude and a high honors student (pretty much straight highest-marks) gets Summa Cum Laude.
My wife graduated her Physical Therapy degree with Magna Cum Laude, if it hadn't been for her hatred of math she would have gotten Summa Cum Laude.

Oh yeah - congratulations! That is indeed a distinction to be proud of!

EXCELLENT Z. Proud of you man!! That is much to be proud of yourself. Kudos. I was high honors myself, so I know how much work it takes. Good for you. Now how about those pics?
