Keyboard/mouse do not respond
I just want to make sure, if BOTH the keyboard and mouse do not work, is the motherboard DOA? Inquiring minds...

You can buy a USB to PS/2 splitter that will allow you to plug in your PS/2 keyboard and mouse into the small cable splitter and then into a USB port. I have used them on many machines and there is no driver that needs install or anything. They cost 15~20 dollars US and can be a life saver. I use them on those lovely E-machines that only had USB ports and on laptops when I want to use a full size keyboard and mouse.
