Internet Explorer closes abruptly
A user clicks onto a login tab then I.E. abruptly closes.
If another user logs in, visits the same site, clicks on the same login tab, then everything's o.k. thereafter.
Why is the first user dumped out of I.E. & the 2nd user is not?

So that would imply that there is a separate profile for the 1st user - does the 1st user login to windows differently (different user/pass) to the 2nd user? Or do the 1st and 2nd users share the same login profile?

Both users log in with different user/pw.

Soooo, it stands to reason that there is something wrong with user 1's profile... perhaps a spyware problem that has not transferred to the user 2 profile...
You could create a new profile for user 1 and see if the problem goes away - if it does, then you know that something in the docs and settings for the original user 1 is causing IE a problem.
