CD Rom not recognised
Hey all.
Am a newbie to all this so please bear with me. Got a new game today, after clearing 2Gb of space on my hard drive so I could play the blasted thing I can't get it to work! I put the cd in and my driver makes a couple of whirring and clicking noises then sort of gives up! All my other cd-roms/dvds/cds are working fine. Apparently it could be that I have not completely cleared my system of Daemon Tool files which would stop the cdrom from working as it has some special copyright protection gimmick. Any help would be gratefully received as I wanna play my game....hopefully before I retire!!
Thanks all
Sally

Can you explore the cd? (right-click the cd drive, explore)
Has the disc been tried in another computer ?

No...and no, just got it today! When I try and explore it just says please insert disk into drive. Would the copyright protection thingy make the cd whirr? It is as if the drive is trying to read the cd, gets stuck then tries again.
I'm clueless!

Try it in another drive, sounds like a bad cd to me.

You know, I was going to ask that question, but you mentioned above that all your other cds/dvds were working fine, so I assumed you had tried other DVD's in this drive......sorry, my bad.
