Padding is padding. Besides, the WOTPP does not belong to anyone. It is an ubiquitous force, a primal energy which permeates all posters and forums throughout the multiverse. It leads to the highjacking of threads, such as this one, by sly and sinister ways.

No No, no ! its 'teh way' that's eternal, WotPP'ing is copyright of Adept , he even did some T-shirts (well 'a' shirt which he still owes me, if I remember rightly) to prove it, as it was his choice of name
But hell yeah, post padding is padding, unless you mean , which is also a post that's padded , or which is also for padding post
Now look you've gotten me confus-ed .. I don't know what kinds of post want padding !

I hadn't noticed any explanation, but none is needed, and sorry to hear that, and hope all is well with the wee one.

... and El Squid gave the little thread another <bump>, keeping floating above the rest of the threads and adding another post to his count...
See, Mags, this is the beauty and simplicity of the WOTPP.

Oh my!
I hadn't looked at this for days, thinking that interest had waned in the Women of the Prehistoric Planet .. and now, well, lookie!
I've just found my inane comment, which started this off ..

So hence came the new breed of WOTPP's, being careful not to put WOTTP's .. and therefore, I can only conclude that an attack has been mounted on the shores of the Prehistoric Planet? So what are the Women there to do .. they are normally, despite the antics of a few at school, peaceable women, but when aroused ...

...and then young Daisy aroused from sleep and walked out of the school gate .. to see a growing gang of post padders .. and she thought, 'I need to be careful here, because my quill is poised .. and especially as I didn't use it during lessons, am wondering where to put it ...'

"Fear not, young Daisy!" exclaimed a smiling squid, smoking a hookah, whilst precariously perched 'pon a Portabella mushroom. "We post padders are a harmless lot, merely filling up space with our deep and meaningful posts! Sheath yon pointy quill and join the merriment."

Daisy looked bemused, as she dropped her quill to her side, because she didn't know what a Portabella mushroom was and was puzzled over the meaning of PFC ... was it Press for Change, Performance Friction Corporation, Power Factor Correction, Power Finance Corporation, Pacific Forestry Centre, Partnership for Children? She was also puzzled by the +1, should she quote here?
