    Question please help I'm not good with computers

    my computer will play music it will play things downloaded but the sound will not play when i put in a dvd.the dvd will play but no sound. i can put in a cd and have sound. I have windows xp. computer is a emachine modle W2785 please help remember i know little to nothing about computers.

    Do you have a dvd player? Also you say you can play a cd, Same DRIVE.that you put dvd in ??

    yes it does have a dvd rom a cd and dvd writer

    If you are using Windows Xp either pro or home version, you won't need the audio out cable ( Usually a thin grey cable ). If you are using a different Operating system, you will need to have someone install one of these cords in your computer.
