Lg Not Able To Help With Their Own Products
I have an HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE8400B installed in my HP Pavillion 6735 and it will read cds, but when I try to burn, my comp freezes and the burner continues to "prepare audio data". I have tried updates, driver downloads, driver roll backs and everything else I can think of but to no avail. Am I missing something or is my CD-RW just garbage?

Well a bad drive is allways possible.
Although I use LG burners, both dvdrw and cdrw all the time and they are very reliable.
First I might try the burner in another machine to see if its working.
That will eliminate the question of whether the burner is at fault.
