ThinkPad T30 format runs very slow
I am doing a reinstall on a T30, I deleted the partition, recreated the new one and I told XP Pro to format NTFS (not quick option). The formatting is taking so long, I started it at 4:30pm and at 9:00pm it is at 45%. Is this a problem? I never encountered the format process to run so slow. It is a 40GB drive.
Should I be concerned?

Well, it finished formating and the install started. Next Problem.....
The screem where you input the License Key Pops Up. I put the license key that is on the sticker of the LapTop and it does not like it. I used a WinXP Pro Retial CD for the Install. I know there are different types of CD's (oem, retial, corporate) What type of install CD does the ThinkPad want? I do not have the recovery CD's for the T30.
