Help?
My wife's computer recently crashed....It smelled llike it was burning and would not power down unless u unplugged it from the wall. When it was plugged in it would automatically power up and the smell would start again. Nothing would display at this point. I replaced the case(My wife hated it) and psu due to the fact that the smell seemed to be emanating from the old psu. However, once I moved the inerts over to the new case and plugged it in......It immediately powered up and no display again. There r no post sounds at all and everything inside the case seems to be running fine except for the burning smell and no display.....Should I replace the mobo or the processor first(outside of the economic issue)?

Remove everything except motherboard and cpu.Add back 1 item at a time, process of elimination. When burning smell comes out it could be everything.
