HD Imaging with a USB iPod
Has anyone tried to use an Ipod as an external HD for imaging purposes? What I am looking at is to use norton ghost to make an image file to my iPod, then restore it to another computer. I know the iPod has a disk mode, but not sure if it can be used in this manner. Plus Norton boots from a disk or cd, so windows would not be involved.
Thanks...

The main limitation as to whether or not this will work will be the PC. If it supports USB mass storage devices in BIOS then your plan will work - if not then you're out of luck.

I got it to work with ghost 8.0 with USB boot support. Ghost 7.5 refused to see the device.
I have to admit, this is better than running around with an Ext CDRom, blank media and a AC adaptor.
Thanks.
