usbscan driver
Looking for a driver known as usbscan.sys that I need for lexmark X7100 all in one machine.evey time I try to scan or copy something it says to d/l usbscan.sys from my cd-rom with SP2 but my cd id only a SP1 .would appreciate any help.

well if you mean the service pack 2 for win xp it is free on microsoft update site if you have a legit win xp install cd,if you mean the cdrom that came with your scanner then go to lexmark website and download the drivers that you need,hope this helps ,

Drivers for the lexmark should all be on the lexmark cd. So likely he means Service pack 2 from Microsoft.
Go to Windows update and update your windows

I've already been so microsft's site and there's nothing there except the same need from someone else.....who also needs that same driver usbscan.sys .......we both have the SP2 packs but not that paticular driver. Thanks for the answers though, I've posted there so I'll check it in a few seconds to see if anyone has an answer.......also Lexmark has sent me some info on how to try to get pc to see all in one device

Thanks for all of the help.............but I found the usbscan from SP2 on my PC and when I started downloading the lexmark software went to browse when the window poped up and went to the location and then typd usbscan in the file window and everything is working fine now ..............ThanksAgain, jj73cuda
