Video Driver
I have a client with a laptop, Gateway Solo Pro 9300 who formatted it himself. The problem is there are no cd's for the drivers needed. I cannot find the video card driver which is a ATI Rage P/M Mobility card. I went to Gateway and entered the serial number for the latop under the downloads. The site brought up everything but the video driver. I went and did a google search and found one, tried it and had the system lock up. I uninstalled the driver and it started normally, of course under standard VGA mode 16 colors. Does anyone know where I can get the correct driver for this laptop? TIA
It's not the computers that keep having problems, it's the users!!

Wellll, that would work except there is no driver for this model. I have been to the site before and have done a search for the card and recieved the "Contact (Gateway)manufacture for drivers."

Possible Solution?!
Alrite. Im new to ATI cards, having recently invested in an X700. I had problems installing. Firstly not knowing that i had to install .NET Framework 1.1 BEFORE (or at any time for that matter!) installing ATI drivers - maybe the same thing rings true for ur G-Card?
Also it took 2 reboots for my PC to work, because after the 1st reboot it crashes (this is "SMART" kicking in - an ati testing facilty that checks its properly sorted) However if I simply reboot for a 2nd time my system boots fine. I suggest u try both of these and see if u have any success. Please report back if u do try this with results. Thanx and Good luck

This link is for Win2k drivers, but apparrently will work on other OS's if u install via device manager (update driver). Click HERE
