SiSoft causes CPU fan to STOP (very bad thing)
(I also posted this in the Benchmarking Forum)
Something I dicovered today:
I downloaded the SiSoft Sandra Standard benchmarking program today to use on my system. I clicked on the mainboard information icon, and my CPU fan as well as my case fan STOP.
This is not good.
I repeated 3 times and same result every time. The fans simply stop.
I am using SiSoft Sandra Standard Version 2000.7.6.49.
I have the Gigabyte GA-7ZX mainboard with a retail AMD Athlon 750 (Thunderbird core)
I think this is a HUGE potential problem. I am not sure if it is the fault of my hardware or the fault of the software, but I thought it should be brought to everyones attention.
The SiSoft Benchmarking program can be downloaded here: http://www.zdnet.com/downloads/stori...,,000EX9,.html
Any questions or comments, feel free to contact me.
