3 Drive Hookup Problems
I have a big problem I have a ide 3 drive /28inch connector and i'm trying to hookup my 3 dvd drives one dvd rom and 2 dvd burner 1. master 2. Slave 3. Cable Select everything is connected to the mother board but I keep getting a post error 75 I also have 2 hard drives hookup to different ide cable but that's not giving me any problems i'm using windows xp please help me.

You can only connect 2 IDE drives to a single channel no matter how many connectors the ribbon cable may have. Sounds like you may need an additional IDE controller card.

No, it's a limitation in the contoller design.

I just bought a PCI Ultra ATA 133/100 IDE RAID Controller Card for $17.90 will this work

Yes, as a third, separate controller it will if you have the free resources to install it. - bottom line is, any IDE channel can only ever hold 2 devices, one master, one slave (or both set to Cable Select, in which case they will still be master and slaved, but determined by order based on cable position)
