Problem with new scanner install
However it wont show up in my computer under Scanners and Cameras. In the device manager it shows up, but not there. Any suggestions on how to fix this? The scanner has its own program and will scan through that, but I like using the one in my computer better. Its a Mustek 1200 UB Plus scanner if that helps any. Thanks for any help with this. ~Dennis

Intel Mod
The not-so precise instructions here:
http://www2.mustek.com/download/driv...200ubplus.html
suggest that if you have installed from CD, there may not be a Twain driver installed. Their slightly confusing instructions:
"If you have not install the software from your original CD, please download the full software package (including the Generic Scanning Module, the Twain Driver and the Panel) or the scanner will not work.
If you have already installed the driver software, please install the Twain driver and the Panel."
This presumably means all that will have been installed from a CD will be the Generic Scanning Module. If this is how you installed, it looks like you need to download and install the Twain Driver & Panel.
Once a Twain driver is installed, you should be able to acquire images from within any Twain compatible graphics software.

I did what they said on that site last night when I first installed the scanner. Got both the TWAIN driver and the Pannel, but it still doesnt show up. I dont have the original install cd, because I got the scanner from a friend. So I guess if nothing else works I can live without having it under my computer. Thanks ~Dennis
