Keep it the same. It's hard to remember who everyone is if they change their names.

Huh?
Need more caffeine to grok that, I think.
Did you mean that if the administration tells me to keep my forum name the same I'd have to?
I have already asked Richard1 if it was possible to change my current handle to something else when he graciously helped re-activate my account.
Was that what you were referring to?
I'm kinda slow after 4 hours of sleep and no coffee...

Geezer
..the moniker I'm proposing to adopt is also the one my wife uses for me when she thinks I'm not romantic enough..
Now, is my remark a bit clearer ?

You will do what you like, of course, but I really think of you as Adept, in more ways than one.
Nice to see you!
If only you knew what's inside of me now,
You wouldn't want to know me, somehow.

The votes are in, and in accordance to everyone's wishes I'm going to request that my name be changed right away.

You know what guys...
I was going to pull a joke on you, say "I'm getting my name changed" andsimply switch from "a d e p t" to "adept", but I've sent Richard1 another request to have it officially changed to Stalemate after all.
It isn't that I don't respect your opinions, or appreciate the time that I spent at WD before, but I do want this to signify a turning point.
It is also something that, I hope, you will understand is just too personal to have public opinion decide for me. I value your input, but this is my decision to make.
Thanks for bearing with me during the transition.

A valid question.
Personal curiosity... A way of giving folks a "heads up" ahead of time... fair warning and all that.
I really wasn't going to do it when I saw the results but then decided to go with my own decision after all. Go against the flow and all that. No offense meant to anyone.
Plus, it gives me a chance to design yet another avatar now.
