    Post Killer Comms?

    I have a P2 450/64 Mb/12 Gb/ Packy Bell Motherboard/Win 98/winmodem. Everytime I try to connect to any ISP the machine freezes or crashes (as in resets the machine) within 5 minutes of loggin on.

    Any ideas, PPlleeaassee.

    try this - go into safe mode and check device manager. remove all your com ports AND your winmodem. then search for a file called wmregdel - if you find that prog, run it. if not, ok. then reboot back into normal mode, let windows redetect your ports and modem. no guarantee here, but it's worth a shot! make sure you have your win98 disk handy too, plus your modem driver disk.
