Laptops/Notebooks/PDA Mod
That's cool, the dryer probably actually helped matters out. I had the same thing happen to my old Lexar 256MB key, and I've washed several Sony memory sticks for digital cams and they still worked.
My old fuji digital camera however, is a different story. I had my daughter at a fishing derby, stuck it in the top pocket of my vest, and when I bent over to unsnag her line, it fell in the creek. I pulled it out, took it home and dryed it as best as I could, it turned on the next day and worked fine. Over time, the zoom lens started sticking, and then it quit operating completely. When it died for good, I cracked it open, and found half the boards were corroded.
Oh well, live and learn.
