Can't create new folder
In XP pro I have several accounts. When I look under documents and settings I have: all users/documents There are several files here none of which need to be kept. I am unable to delete any of the files, unable to delete the document folder -- it says it's a OS file and needed by the OS. Finally, I can't create a new file to place into documents.
Under properties the document file is read only. I've tried to change that but it keeps changing back to read only. I am trying to run a different program where I get an error message that it's looking for a file and the path is a subdirectory off the document folder. I thought I would create the sub directory to try to solve the problem but I can't. Seems odd that as an admin I can't delete this folder or add a new one to it. Any ideas???

Laptops/Notebooks/PDA Mod
Are these folders under an actual username's folder? (ie - c:\documents and settings\John\......)
If so, file permissions may be blocking you from accessing the folder, which logging in as admin won't help, unless you take ownership. Try logging on as that particular user, then you can delete files within the user's folder.
