    Strange DNS Problems

    Hi

We are using SBS Server 2003, when we visit certain domains for example ebay.co.uk our dns server changes the domain to ebay.com.co.uk, which obviously doesnt exist meaning we get timeouts on our machines.

Anyone know what maybe causing this?

    regards

    Jaybee

Possibly a bad pointer look in the DNS pointers and see if you have an entry pointing to that domain or ping the IP of ebay.co.uk and see what the IP resolves to and then look for that entry and delete it.

    Hiya,

    Thanks for the reply.

This is a fairly new setup on this server and we copied the settings exactly as they where on our old server, we dont actually have any pointers that I can see in place other than ones for inside our network.

    Regards

    Jaybee
