Advanced Power Management Support
Hello:
I feel a little stupid, because I feel I should know this. I have two older computers that are running Win98 and both have problems with the "Advanced Power Management Support". How can I fix this?
Thanks,
Jim

You can fix it by TURNING IT OFF. Power Management is extremely buggy on desktop machines, mainly because they were never designed for power management in the first place. (Laptops on the other hand, are)
Symptoms I get when using power management on a desktop are services/devices that stop working after the computer wakes, computers that don't wake after going to sleep, BSOD errors, crashing, etc.
You CAN use the monitor power management in the Display control panel, but that's all I'd recommend. Even that doesn't work sometimes.
