    1. I will not visit a country where people eat cats.
    2. If I witness someone eating a cat, they will be beaten.

Is eating a cat any worse than eating a cow? Would you beat someone who's eating a sheep? What about a dog, or maybe a goat? Where's the line?

Well that includes Australia it seems. Several quotes are made of aborigines eating cats, if true, something I've not heard mentioned before. Not unreasonable, if you're foraging to live, and something edible can be obtained, you edit... err, eat it!

Amen. If it can be caught, it can be eaten, or raced! And, probably is, somewhere in the world.

Probably determined by how fast you had to run to catch it.

As the exhausted hunter said when he gave up; "I'm tired of fast food..."

Well, some may think eating cats is repugnant, but I think it's just fair play. We have 4 cats, and one of my normal morning chores is Carcass Patrol. On a typical morning I pick up 1 to 2 half-eaten rabbits, but some days the body count may be even higher. You know how it is. Some days the cats aren't really hungry; they just make the kills for fun and practice, so I may get 3 or 4 bunnies with just the ears and faces eaten. Then, of course, there are variations on the standard menu that can include, rats, mice, squirrels, gophers, prairie dogs, snakes, and several species of birds. Welcome to Nature! And humans are still a part of it.

    CAT'S DIARY

    Day 483 of my captivity...

My captors continued to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects.

They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while I am forced to eat dry cereal.

The only thing that keeps me going is the hope of escape, and the mild satisfaction that I get from clawing their furniture.

Tomorrow I will eat another houseplant.

Today my attempt to kill my captors by weaving around their feet while they were walking almost succeeded - must try this at the top of the stairs.

In an attempt to disgust and repulse these vile oppressors, I once again induced myself to vomit on their favorite chair. I must remember to try this on their bed.

Decapitated a mouse and brought them the headless body in an attempt to make them aware of what I am capable of, and to try to strike fear in their hearts. They only cooed and condescended about what a good little cat I was. Hmmm, that did not work according to plan...

There was some sort of gathering of their accomplices. I was placed in solitary throughout the event. However, I could hear the noise and smell the food. More importantly, I overheard that my confinement was due to my powers of inducing "allergies." I must learn what this is and how I may use it to my advantage.

I am convinced the other captives are flunkies and maybe snitches. The dog is routinely released and seems more than happy to return. He is obviously a half-wit.

The bird, on the other hand, has got to be an informant and speaks with them regularly. I am certain he reports my every move. Due to his current placement in the metal room, his safety is assured.

But I have patience, I can wait, it is only a matter of time...
If only you knew what's inside of me now,
You wouldn't want to know me, somehow.

Very few creatures that eat meat are 'tasty' to humans. We prefer vegetable/grain eaters, particularly the grain eaters.

Meat eaters have a very high 'taste' level, maybe due to meat toxins that they cannot pass quickly.

Exceptions to the 'bad' taste are crustaceans (crabs, lobsters) which have a different metabolism.

Thus, if someone fed a cat on an entire grain diet and kept it indoors I would probably, in a fit of hunger, barbeque the little devil at a moment's notice.

On the other hand, it would be easier to find a vegetarian, Vegan preferred.
