New Thread hilighting
Would it be possible to have threads that were posted Today show as TODAY in some colour - and stay that colour until there is at least one response?

The system is set up so you can click on Today's Posts.
Still you have a very good idea.I guess a moderator will answer
this soon.Probably quicker if it had a "Special COLOR".

As stated thats what the "today's posts" and "posts last 48 hours" buttons are for at top of page.
Also when you look down the left hand side of the forums you will see it ticks where there are new posts since your last visit along with a "mark all posts read:" button at the bottom of the page. These all help you manage the postings quite sufficiently and keep the colours streamlined and easy to read.
Some posts never get responses or even require responses and that is why the current system works. All moderators use the today's posts function and posts that are not answered that are required to be answered have the appropriate action taken by the mods, re either answering themselves or directing to the correct area/person.
it is very rare a post lays unanswered.

I like the "Unanswered Threads" under the quick links menu - that's the quickest way to find new threads that haven't been addressed yet.

As 3FS already stated there is also an "Unanswered Post" feature in the quick links. This brings up only the posts that have 0 responses.
Hacks are many times very cool. The problem results when we go to upgrade the forums software, the hacks haven't been created. So we get stuck waiting for these hacks, which don't always come, writing them ourselves or doing away with the feature. In any case I try to keep them to a minimum.
