defender pro 15-in-1
Does anyone have experience with this software? it's suppose to be a security package av, antispyware, antispam, firewall, etc....
I have a customer who just bought this and tried to put it on his computer... not sure if he messed it up, if the infections he already had interfered, or what but it's not running well and just wondering if it's something worth keeping once this is cleaned up or not...
thanks for any/all opinions.

I haven't come across this one yet myself but as I spend much of my time disinfecting machines I thought a quick Google might be in order. Here's just a few excerpts from a couple of forums....
"have defender pro 2005, when i start up the computer it automatically starts firewall and spy-ware even though they are set to off. this prog. has slowed my system considerably. thinking of going back to mcafee or trying something else."
"I just bought defender pro and am installing it. it makes it all the way to the end and says activation failde code 13"
"purchased it at WallyWorld and have had nothing but trouble!!!!!
Every time I have tried to install the Anti-Virus and the firewall it shuts my comp. off and sends it into safe mode. Can someone please help. Got no response from their support group!!!!"
"For those using Defender Pro or those of you that have Windows XP Pro defender Pro will not work it will only work on windows xp home. This comes from Defender Pro's Web site. I have defender Pro 15 in 1 running on my other pc and my laptop and have been for the last 2 years and have never had a problem with it. It's just too bad it won't run on Windows Xp Pro."
"Hi, I bought and insalled Defender Pro 5 in 1 2006 onto my computer and when I did I picked up the Trojan Start Page. I couldn't get it off of my computer until it crashed and I had to put the restore disk in that came with the computer. When I did that I lose everything of course."
Don't think I'll be bothering with this..

Now where did I leave my Lump Hammer?

Atodini could you tell me exactly what you typed or where you found some of these comments? I haven't found any like that. some I have actually found are saying good things about it...
