I have a compq presario model 4122 and after it starts to load the windows drivers it hangs for about three minutes. The last driver prior to this wait time is ptvcd.vxd If I do the shift f8 where you yes or no each line, I selected no and the system hung. So what does ptvcd.vxd do? Is there anyway to cut down the hang time?
