    SATA RAID Disconnects

    Hey,

I have a client who has had RAID Troubles twice. She is setup for RAID 1 using 2 80GB SATA Drives on an N-Force 4 Board. About a month ago, the drives split apart and became 2 separate drive letters. I backed up the critical data, Deleted the partition on the scond one and restarted. I can't remember if I told it to repair automatically, or if it did it itself.

Now it has happened again. I thought of a loose cable, but I woudl assume that then you would lose a drive rather than split a RAID apart...

Have you tried replacing the Raid controller?
