Saveing Windows Folder Views.
I have built up a new machine and I was wondering if theirs a way to get my settings from my old machine to the new one. I know of File and Transfer settings but it doesn't do what I want.
What im asking is that you know how some of us users, like to have say in my pictures > thumbnails and in my music List views in folders. In my documents I have it set to Icons and the rest I have the window size and position set to just how I like them. My downloads folder is set to show all details and is set in to group listing.
I was hoping theirs a way to save my current settings and transfer them to a new machine because I know from second hand that after reinstalling windowsxp it sets every single folder to Tiles. I don't want it as Tiles, yes I know theirs a setting in folder options to set every folder looking like the one you like but that no good to me. Cause if I set them all matching what about my pictures or my music? I have loads of different folders with different settings for each one.
any help on this problem would be nice. I found a script yesterday that allows you do change multi- folders in to how you like your settings at once but its all right but not brilliant. Think its still in beta format.
