    Sound Dont Work

    Ok Ok Ive searched up google and still could not find the answer to my problem...i have a compaq and just reinstalled windows and when i try to acess volume control the pop up comes saying ''active mixer devices'' not found or sumthing...can anyone tell me how to fix this?

    Model of compaq?
    And is it XP Home or Pro?

    How did you reinstall windows? Did you use the Compaq restore or just a regular Windows disc?
