    Question please help find sound card drivers

    I let my kids on my computer and they deleted the sound files from it and I cant remember the site I got it off of.I need to reestablish sound for my schooling. I have an internal sound card but do not have my windows xp disk.

    You need to indentify your hardware, first of all so you know what driver to get. Run Everest Home Edition (free download from: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4181.html )

    That will identify your hardware and you can get a driver from the mfg., WinDrivers, DriverGuide, etc.

    I have Crystal SoundFusion but no sound. Someone told me that I may need drivers. My volume is up and the mute is off.

    If you have msn go to the microsoft.com specify which drivers you need in the search bar and it will bring up your drivers to download.

    I am locking this topic. I find it very odd that the exact words used in the first post appear in the last post with a new user name...

    If this is a genuine request for help then the download from majorgeeks on the 2nd post will help you identify your sound card and tell you where you can get the drivers. You may not need a 98 disk as the files may be on the hard drive if it's a branded machine.
