    I've Been Plagiarized

I suppose imitation is the finest form of flattery but to be honest ... how pathetic is it? How low can you go? How much of a dishonest cheat and thief are you to have to steal someone else work to pass it off as our own?

How lazy... What does it show about the persons inadequacies who has to copy someone elses work? What does it say about the lowlife.. How seriously sick are they?

In that way I am happy someone thought my work was good enough to steal. I stumbled across this as I was checking google for anothe one of my jfk articles...

    http://www.pro-american.com/forums/s...8&page=1&pp=15

the above link take you to a forum I have never heard of before now. With an interesting piece about the jfk assassination and the first witness accounts.

It is well researched and put together by a person called Catwoman, in a post a couple down from the thread topic Catwoman actually says she has been researching the JFK issue for ages...

Well I don't call copy and paste a really good research tool at all.....and to be honest.. If you are going to steal someone's work at least take the (footnote by Mayet) notes out of your copy and paste.

See it's my work.. my article copy and pasted without credit where it is due.. I don't mind people using my work, debating it, or even critisizing it.. but at least put my name to the article puhleese......

The original article was posted here.....on a well known conspiracy website which is prob run by the government....
    http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread191783/pg1

and here on my own forum
    http://www.rejectz.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=2310

and the truly amazing thing is that when I politely reminded the poster that they had in fact plagiarized my work.. they ignored it .......

as I said how low can they go..... lazy lowlife thiefs.....

now does it end there for my day of being plagiarized....No......

it gets better or worse depending on how you look at it all....

This next instant shows you how low a human life form can go in life .. on their stupid pathetic attempt to "get at someone" ...in this case..me.....

I built a couple of websites when I was still married to my ex namely http://www.computertechnicalcentre.com and an old one that doesn't exist now southburnett.net which included an amateur radio site....

which is now held in webarchives
    HERE

so now two new sites pop up free hosted by godaddy...

    http://www.thecomputertechnicalcentre.com/ and http://www.vk4thg.com/

it doesn't take anyone to be as brainless as the site creator to work out just who made these two new sites and what their motive is to copy and paste my sites and pass my work off as theirs.....

highly illegal suable offence .. called breach of copyright and plagiarism at the least... but it goes to show what a lowlife I have to deal with...I think its laughable though because the person is showing they are too stupid and have no talent and no ability to create a workable site themselves and they have to resort to theft of someone elses.....

Well, in a world of theorists (6+ billion people produce a lot of theorists - haha), you have been lucky enough to be plagiarized and unlucky enough not to have been copyrighted (if indeed you are that pissed off).

Me, I would be happy if someone thought enough of one of my rants or ideas or theories to take it away and make something more of it.

However, we are who and what we are so I sympathise with you, while I applaud that someone thought your work was indeed of worth.

    Sad.

But it is a PoMo cut and paste world. Mouse-empowerment! No brain or talent needed! Cut and paste and you're an artist, an author, a musician, a composer, etc., etc.

I struggled vainly against this sort of thing for years as a college instructor.

That is pretty sad, May. Some people just haven't got it, but I think you've got it in spades and will rise above it all.

So sorry to hear this, Mayet, I'd be fuming to think I'd put all that work in and someone else then passes it off as theirs, with no credit to you.

Isn't there any way you can get hold of the Forum's Moderators, etc?

I think if I saw one of my poems or articles under someone else's name, I'd be after them, but with such a huge world outside and inside the Internet, I may never see it.

    Take care...

Don't know about Australia, but in the U.S. basic cost for filing a copyright is $45.00, though it can vary upwards in different states. Here in Texas, you can use a simple form, no attorney needed, and only incur the basic cost.
