I don't know what level of technology would confuse the folks you are sending them to, but IMHO the easiest way would be to find a site that allows ftp transfers and upload the files there so people can log in and download them.

password protect the login to the ftp site and/or specific folder, and no one that you don't give the password to will be able to get them. You can then change the password after all the people that need them, have them.

i'm assuming you have a broadband connection. why not set up a FTP server on your own machine and give them access? simple and safe and you wont have to transfer your files.

you can try uploading them through a messenger program with a file transfer or there is always the old school method. Burn them to a CD and mail them.
If you have to do this often I would highly recommend some sort of FTP though as you can get your list of users and upload files and assign rights accordingly.

https://www.yousendit.com/whyyousendit.php
or other file sending services, some let you configure a group of users who have access to the files, http://www.filefront.com/ is one of those I believe.

Some of the answers to this question depend on things like how many people are you going do distribute the file to, do you want to tie up your bandwidth for the number of transfers you've planned, etc.
Another service to consider is: http://www.whalemail.com/ Not free, but you can upload the file once, and designated recipients get the file with no ad, and you don't have to open your network to external access on any new level.
You just need to look at the costs for all the options. Don't forget your time too!

Well i dont mind if it ties up my bandwith for a bit, there are no more than 10 people to send the files to. Ideally id like something free, but who wouldnt lol
