    Open source community-how it works?

    Hello guys,

    I would like to get more insight from open source coumminity veterans on how the community works, I'm looking to porpose an open source initiative for our company and I need help on how to choocse which platform to use for collaborative development platforms? any expert insight would be appreciated.
