    OK, you can't update that bios, it is an earlier 486. The motherboard is too old for PCI slots. Time to start hunting for a late model ISA controller card. Sorry.

    Noo, can you tell me that they mean each one of the letters and numbers of the chain of the BIOS? It is for future consultations.

    Martinellrios, I believe your 486 to be a socket 3 type. The bios is not updateable using a diskette to flash it - you would have to use an eeprom blower and the likelihood of finding an updated bios is almost non-existant.
