Question What backup solution do you use ?

I wondered what kind of backup solution do you use for simple clients and for network clients.
I usually schedule a weekly image of Acronis TI 9 of the primary drive on the logical (Or if there is a second) drive.
I found out that usually it is better to just install things from scratch, Because a lot of software is updated......
What is your opinion about backup ?

    I Ghost everything.
I have a machine that's pretty much a dedicated Ghost server at work, at home I keep an image on a secondary drive.

Almost exclusively Ghost with a 300 gig USB HD for any and all desktops
    Live State Recovery for servers

Ferrit, you buy 300GB external HD to every client in order to backup his computer ?
It gives me an idea to buy a disk like that to make external copies of my clients computers and then burn them on dvd....

Depends on what they need... if people need a full back up solution, I get them one, but most only need a library of their data... so a DVD burner and instructions is enough for very small businesses and home users.

As NooNoo said it depends on their data and needs. Ususally those wanting a good backup system have a multitude of data and pictures and stuff and they want a safe place for backup. Alot also have had an experience taking the machine for repairs to places like staples where their data is irrelevant and they have lost some or all of their data

If you need a simple, inexpensive backup solution, I've been playing with this open source software called Cobian Backup. It allows for manual or scheduled backups, file exclusions, etc. and can backup to any drive or network path you point it to, while retaining multiple backups. Not bad for free, all you need is the storage space.

I Like the ease of use and non compressed data of EZ backup . It also allows you to have scheduled backups as well as incremental.
