Compaq Restore
Customer burned a set of restore disks on the one time use program Compaq supplies to make restore cd's. Well, he can't find them now, and wants to make another set. The computer is less than 30 days old.
1. Would using system restore and going back to the first restore point help?
2. Is there a registry hack that will allow the program to work again?

I think once the discs are burned it deletes the temp files off the partition. I suggest calling HP/Compaq or going to the website and ordering a set. Last time I ordered a set they were only like $20
