IBM-T40 & Mat****a UJDA745 CD/DVD r/w
After, (I believe) a Windows XP Pro SP2 upgrade my CD/DVD R/W quit writing. The Native Roxio doesn't write. Nero Rel 6.0 doesn't write. MagicISO Rel 5.0 doesn't write. Any new drivers out for this CD R/W. Took the link out to Matsu****a and it was useless.
Thanks,
Den

Welcome to Windrivers 4-toes
Have you been to IBM for driver updates?
What do you mean about taking the link out of matsu****a?

The Manufacturer has an unmentionable combination of letters which I suppose the automated censor masks out. Maybe that is why it is misspelled a lot Matsuita (common misspell). No, haven't been out to IBM. I thought for $29.95 (the subsciption cost). It would be a 1-Stop-Shop. My mistake and $29.95 poorer and still searching.

huh?
IBM drivers are free!
www.ibm.com you go there, click on support, put the full model number in and away you go!
Did you subscribe to windrivers? If so, it is like an online magazine - lots of goodies, drivers not found anywhere else and advice is what you paid for... but this community is free and the links we provide are free, the chat room is free. Member ask questions and other members answer them for free...

NooNoo: I went out to the IBM support site, as you suggested, and found a firmware update for the specific CD (UJDA745), I have. Am, In the process of creating, the floppy boot disk image needed to perform the upgrade. Thank you for your time and responses. I think I'm headed in the right direction, now. Getting steered into the right direction makes it worth it. Again....Thanks!!!
