    I suppose if you upgraded win98 to win2000 you would still have the msconfig on the comp wouldn't you?

    No..you would have the win98 version which freezes looking for autoexec.bat and config.sys and usually errors out. The xp version works on 2k

    well, i can honestly say i've not copied over anything; so if w2k doesnt have it, i dont know where it came from!
