    Toshiba SD-M1502/Mitsumi CR-48XETE

    My CD/DVD drives in device manager are showing a "!" with error code 39. I have tried to install/update drivers, but nothing appears to work. What can I do get my drives operational again? Also I have other errors, but if I can get my drives operational, I can resolve the other problems.

    This is a common problem and answered several times on this board - you need to follow these instructions Yes, I know it blames EasyCD and you probably didn't have it, but lots of things can cause this error... so please follow the instructions. You will have to restart your machine when you have finished.
