installing NT
Hi
I tried installind NT for the first time it installed great then i tried udating the video driver now NT wont boot i get half way through the boot and then it says file fast something or other missing run crash debug from control pannel so i tried to format c: and install again it wont let me even after fdisking out the partition it still remembers my installation have i buggered up the floppies some how im trying to install NT 4 service pack 4 its an OEM so i have two cd's and threee floppies the computer is a toshiba 2050cdt cyrix233 64mbRAM 4Gb hd like i said it installed fine once I have also tried going to the last known good and selecting the VGA option HELP!!! its driving me nuts

Did you try booting with the NT cd? Check in your bios so that the boot order has your cd as first boot drive. If you succeed in booting with cd, you will have option to delete partition & reformat it. After, the install should go smoothly. You should also install service pack 6a.

Try booting into VGA mode and removing the video drivers that you installed. If that doesn't work boot to the "last known good configuration"

If you lost your floppies, boot off any boot disk with CDROM support and put in your WinNT CD.
Type setup /?
(I think the switch you want is /x)
It will create the NT install floppies for you.
