Exclamation CD Recording Software driver warning

I tried to install an old version of Easy CD Creator (version 4 that is not supported), really by mistake.

I uninstalled it right away as it would not work, and now get a warning whenever I boot up the computer.

    The warning is:-
"Devices or applications disabled. "CD Recording Software" will cause Windows to become unstable. Windows has prevented these drivers from loading. Click here for details."

I have clicked for details, and all it tells me is to go to different sites to get new drivers.

I have uninstalled all the CD/DVD recording software that was on the computer, run various registry repair programs, deleted all that I could find with connections to the LaCie recording program - but still continue to get the warning whenever I boot up.

Is there anyway that I can stop this warning from appearing??

I am running XP Home SP2.

    many thanks, Philip.

Easy CD comes in two halves... Easy CD and Direct CD. Did you uninstall both?

did you remove the filters from the registry?

Yes, I installed both, and to the best of my ability, I uninstalled both.

    ?Filters? Can you explain further?

I have run CCleaner, Eusing Free Registry Cleaner, and PCRegistry Cleaner, (that was for a trial period only). I allowed the programs to remove any conflicts that they highlighted. I did backups before allowing any removal.

I read that using ' roxizap.exe ' does the trick.

    Resolved Fixed!!! Many thanks.

    Well done, sir.

Now, why didn't I post this 3 weeks ago, and get experts to help me.

I would have saved myself the aggravation of trying to remove it with my limited computer knowledge.

    Thanks all.

The question about the filters was underlined... indicating it was a link - to the full instructions and would have had the same effect as roxizap.

I didn't realise that. I'll know next time I have a problem - hopefully not too soon.

Sorry not to have included you in my praise.

Many thanks to all for taking the time to help me.
